The article, Primary care providers as partners in long-term
follow-up of pediatric cancer survivors by Meacham et al was recently published
in the Journal of Cancer Survivorship.
The authors gave 31 lectures to primary care providers across the state
of Georgia. Survey data found that
primary care providers had moderate to very low familiarity with survivor care;
however they were interested in learning more about survivor care. Electronic continuing education modules on
survivor care and late effects and QuickFact reference materials were developed
and are currently available on SurvivorLink.
